Unlike existing SHM technologies, Inversense does not only obtain data from the sensor positioned points of the structure, it accurately calculates the health of the entire structure in real-time, displays it on the digital twin and reports it to the user.
When Inversense processes the data received from sensors integrated on the surface of the structure, it not only obtains 2D surface information, but also instantly obtains 3D data throughout the thickness of the structure and presents it to the user on the digital twin and in its reports.
Inversense is not a limited software that obtains a single type of data. It converts strain data from discrete sensors into many critical data such as full-field deformation, strain, stress, crack formation and propagation, and maintenance need with high accuracy. It can provide special outputs according to need.
Inversense is a structural health monitoring software that is independent of structure type. This solution can be easily used in various industries such as aviation, maritime, construction and automotive. Special modules can be offered according to need.
To process sensor data correctly, Inversense only needs information about the structure geometry and material properties that users can easily define at first, it does not need to know what type and how much load the structure is exposed to.
Inversense produces regular reports in addition to real-time monitoring and shows the user the health of their structures via the cloud, at any time, on any device they want. Thus, it ensures that you are informed of possible structural damages at all times.
With Inversense software, we make engineering structures smart and alive, enable full-field structural health monitoring in real time, and reshape many industries with Structural Digital Twin technology. For this purpose, we create a digital twin of any engineering structure within Inversense and convert discrete sensor data into various critical data such as deformation, strain, stress, crack formation and propagation throughout the whole structure in real-time, and we can convey to users the health of their structures online at any time via the cloud. Inversense software can be used for real-time structural health monitoring in both metal structures and composite structures without the need for loading information.
As an example of using Inversense, shape sensing of fiber reinforced composite materials and sandwich structures can be done, as shown in the figure. Here, fiber optic sensors are glued at discrete points on the top surface of the structure, and instantaneous deformations throughout the structure are calculated and displayed, as seen with the data coming from these sensors during loading.
